READ me...

So I know that I'm the one here who only posts links to articles...

But this is an interesting take on the future from the WSJ.
It could be applied in all of our lives (Kate and I have been working on it for about a year, now.)

Just because things are getting cheaper (they're not, btw.. the price tag says 30% off, but if your dollar to buy it with is too... well, you get the point -- you're being lied to!) doesn't mean we need to fill our closets and garages and storage units and living rooms with more crap we don't need.

I think Christ telling us to sell all we have and give [the proceeds] to the poor would be best interpreted into modern vernacular like this... maybe clean the phrasing up a little bit here, adjust the lighting a bit and then--- sell all we have and give [the proceeds] to the poor!

Now does Christ actually mean that? YES! But I think what he means even more than that (joking aside) is that we need to have the attitude of readiness and open-handedness to do just that. Constantly be looking for ways to shed your possessions for the blessing of others.

You had be scared for a minute when you started to update Scripture!
Have you read Crazy Love? Good book--when Ami finishes my copy, you
must read it. Although I think I'll buy us each a copy....
