Raquel. 1st let me say that I am sorry I ruined your week and you lost your job and all your friends because you were watching that non-stop for 3 days. I apologize. Kate and i have decided to adopt you to make up for it.
Let me sum up...
We have a theory that the TV station in question (based on Arthur's name tag, we are assuming the stations call letters/ affiliate is... you guessed it... "TV". Anyways, "TV," the TV station, enacted a new policy in order to make the Haitian locals they hired as newscasters/ morning show hosts look more professional. That being the matching Khaki jackets. Of course they (the hosts) hate this. They feel stripped of individuality. They feel violated. Of course there is water-cooler talk, but no one can REALLY speak out, for fear of retaliation, etc.
This was her chance. Interject it in an un-scripted quip; a simple response to Arthur's casual, all too unnecessary comment on the weather. IT'S HAITI. The people who live in Haiti, the only recipients of the TV station "TV," are well aware of the lack of temperature shift from day to day.
But she did it. She stuck it to the man. Good for her. And good for Arthur for being of the moment enough to catch it. It took him a second, but he caught it like a pop fly that didn't come down for three minutes. Good for Haiti.
I'm not going to comment on the 3rd gentleman, who reminds me of Carlton from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
